The Ponte del Freddo along the Sentiero Frassati

The Ponte del Freddo is also a starting point for excursions reaching some stretches of the Sentiero Frassati of Puglia, the hiking route dedicated to Pier Giorgio Frassati that crosses the Monti Dauni. From here you can explore the Petrera woodland and approach the routes linking Castelluccio Valmaggiore with the other villages of the Monte Cornacchia area.

A few hundred metres from the village, along the provincial road towards Faeto, the Petrera pine forest offers walking paths, picnic areas and spaces for children. Close to the bridge, the Freddo stream also forms small waterfalls, making this area particularly appealing for a walk in nature.
